Art Comes to Life at the LFT Fiber Tent at Festivals Acadien et Créoles

‍

See paintings take on a new dimension, watch pottery take shape, and experience Louisiana creativity up close at Festivals Acadiens et Créoles.

Festival Acadiens et Créoles brings us together around the things that make this place special. The music. The food. The artists and craftspeople who keep our culture alive.

As the primary sponsor of this year's Festival, LFT Fiber is proud to be part of that tradition. And we're bringing something special to the Louisiana Craft Fair.

Inside the LFT Fiber tent, you'll find art you can experience in a whole new way. Paintings come to life through technology, pottery takes shape right before your eyes, and Louisiana artists share the work that makes this community so creative.

‍

The experience is free and open during regular Festival hours. Come find us in the Louisiana Craft Fair.

See Francis Pavy's art in a whole new dimension

Lafayette artist Francis Pavy is known for paintings filled with layers of color, imagery, and Louisiana culture. At this year's Festival, he's bringing another dimension to his work.

Using augmented reality technology, Pavy's two-dimensional paintings become three-dimensional experiences, giving visitors a new way to explore his art.

Pavy has also selected work by artist Drake LeBlanc to bring into this experience.

It's a chance to see familiar artistic traditions through a new lens, right here in Acadiana.

Watch art take shape with UL Ceramics

There's something fascinating about watching a potter at work. A lump of clay spins on the wheel, and slowly, a shape begins to emerge.

Students from UL Ceramics will be demonstrating their craft throughout the day, giving Festival visitors a chance to see the process up close.

There's a special connection here, too. Before Francis Pavy became known for his paintings, he studied ceramics at UL Lafayette.

Now, his work will come to life just steps away from students learning the same craft that helped start his artistic journey.

Discover the work of Louisiana craftspeople

The tent will also feature work from members of the Louisiana Crafts Guild, bringing more of our state's creative traditions into the experience.

Take some time to explore the work, appreciate the craftsmanship, and see what Louisiana artists are creating.

LFT Fiber Brings Draw Alive to Life at the Children’s Museum of Acadiana

A child draws a fish on a piece of paper. A few moments later, that same fish is swimming across a digital underwater world. That’s the idea behind Draw Alive™, a new interactive exhibit at the Children’s Museum of Acadiana that brings art, imagination and technology together in a way kids can experience for themselves. LFT Fiber and S1 Technology helped present and support the exhibit, and Scout Real Estate Co. made it all possible by building the walls around it. The exhibit opened at the museum in September 2026.
